I met a Brazilian who spoke watered down Yoruba. It's amazing how the Yoruba descendents in the diaspora were able to maintain their religion, spirituality and language after hundreds of years❤️

I’m a proud Yoruba woman a descendant of the Odua, an Africa living in USA. I love my people and my culture. It was the ruthless British colonize who combined all of together calling us Nigeria. Yoruba people were unique, approachable, pleasant with a very rich culture. Thanks for bringing Yoruba into lime light. I have that bronze picture in my living room.

I'm from Uruguay, we have population that descends from Yoruba, we are called "Uruguayans" but coloquial is "yorugua" their culture survives beyond race and traditions made it to national culture like happened in Brazil. Music, religion and home cooking have traces of African flavours 😊

I'm from Mali Wassoulou and I love the Yoruba people, their mythology, history, oddly long names and hearing their language.

I’m in the US...I took a test with African ancestry to figure out my origins. Turns out my ancestors came from Nigeria and are Yoruba as well.💪🏾

My husband is Nigerian Yoruba and having access to videos and knowledge like this to educate myself on the true history and culture of my husbands roots are a blessing. My great-great grandfather was directly from Nigeria and was Yoruba. My mum is a twin, and she comes from a long line of multiple twins! Altogether there are about 8 sets of twins still living on my mum’s side.
