I took a drink every time Adrian said ‘absolutely’, ‘love’, or ‘absolutely love’. I woke up 4 days later.

The Citizen Tsuyosa as an alternative to any integrated bracelet is INSANE for the value. Got mine for 260 and I couldn't be happier with it.

Adrian made a glaring omission of the Bulova Lunar Pilot as the next best alternative, with genuine history, to the Omega Speedmaster.

Zenith Defy 36 mm should be an honourable mention for the integrated bracelet category

I've owned Khaki Field Mechanical in 38mm for 3 months now and I must say it's probably the coolest and best fitting watches I have ever owned. One of the cheapest watches that community can call "legendary"

I have an 11 watch wardrobe, ( I don't really 'collect' ), including 3 of those you mentioned, though my speedy is the Ed White version. However it's my 2010 explorer that's gets at least as much wrist time as all the others combined. No setting up the date, no winding if it's worn the next day, super all day comfortable, low key, ( 99% of people don't notice it which suits me just fine ), legible without looking tool or diver, classy, discreet and it's a Rolex. At the risk of appearing smug, wearing a Rolex explorer is a quiet self affirmation of my efforts.

I'm wearing my Sinn556 as I'm watching and enjoying your list and for me, it's an alternative to the Explorer as well.

Crazy the VC was a “failure”. I’d take it over the AP or Patek all day every day.

my mom is currently wearing her VC 222 in 2-toned… originally belongs to my dad, then she took it as it’s too small for my dad to wear nowdays.. she enjoyed it alot, and i asked her if i could have it someday as in inheritance, and she said “ of course..this watch will stays in the family”

I think for the perpetual calendar, frederique constant has a very interesting options. I know it is not a mechanical watch, but they are truly eye catching and amazing watched

Here are the perfect watches in my collection
3861 Sapphire Sandwich Moonwatch, Tudor BB58 Blue, Hamiltonn Khaki Mechanical (white), Seiko King Seiko SJE083 LE, Casio G Shock GWM5610U1. Ive bought and sold a lot of watches in the last few years, and these are the ones that are closest to perfect for me and what I like.

I think the Longines sector dial was a great pick by Adrian, as that is one that has been on my short list for some time, but I’d have to disagree in regards to the Longines Big Eye. I purchased that watch a couple of years ago, and it never made it out of the house before I sold it. It is a phenomenal watch in regards to specs, but the case is just too slab sided and thick for my tastes. Another great pick by Adrian is the explorer. That’s a watch I could see myself loving for sure, I just don’t like to buy pre owned, and I don’t want to spend nearly 10k for a brand new Explorer. And I agree that a good alternative to the explorer is a mark series IWC, which is one that I’ve thought about purchasing many times. I think the next one for me will be the Omega Aqua Terra 38 teak dial. That one is seemingly very underrated.
