Movies, TV, and uninformed people often think a well-crafted lie is about the content. In fact, it’s often better to leave out as much content as possible. This is also known as lying by omission, and in this video we’ll discuss how to do that most effectively.

And stay tuned for more!

P.S. Don’t be a jerk! Only use the power of lying for positive outcomes. Be nice to people, please. :)

This video is interesting because it gave me the chance to reflect on “How to NOT lie”. It seems to me that the central point is “not having much to remember”. I would say: in order to avoid lie say things in a way and keep attention when you have a sense of or another thought like ‘I better remember this in the future..’. That could be an indicator of the fact that even if true the content you’re uttering is probably an omission of some sort. Another tip seems “produce a lot”, the more expressive you’ll be the more chances you’ll have for that feeling or thought to pop up, without going to the other extreme where your production is exaggerated and it’s fake again and it just risk to cloud your feeling and thinking too much.
Could it also be that the feeling I’m referring to before is actually shame or guilt or some painful feeling of that sort, that would give those feeling a function. And when you are with yourself the feeling is probably the same but the thought is more like “I better forget this in the future..”.
Just thinking out loud. I would be glad to know any thoughts if you would like to share.
