So many patients ask us doctor, what is a better mode of delivery, what is the safest mode of delivery, whether it is a normal vaginal delivery or whether it is a cesarean section. We always go for first a normal vaginal delivery. It is only when there is some complication or there is some danger to the mother or the baby, then we go for cesarean delivery. But over a period of years the cesarean delivery is so safe that the results of both vaginal as well as cesarean, as far as morbidity is concerned, as well as mortality is concerned, are more or less the same, but still the first attempt is always for the vaginal delivery .
