Migration and climate change are both highly complex phenomena. In the public debate we often hear about „climate related migration“ or even „climate refugees“, and very often this is done with a note of alert.

About the projects:
With the Klimalog project IDOS promotes awareness for interlinkages between climate and development policy and furthers a goal-oriented dialogue between pertinent actors in politics, academia, civil society and the private sector.

In it projects on refugees and displacement, the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) addresses the multidimensional causes and explanatory factors of human mobility, and investigates the sustainability of different strategies for managing it.

This is possible with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
