Have a look on a cardboard box for bending. They don't score but are pressing indentations into the line of bending. You have to account for the thickness of the material to place the bending line. Allways measure the outer bending curve for material calculations. Cardboard may compress on the inner curve but does not stretch on the outer curve.

1:47 - I can't help but notice that you aren't using the cutting mat as a guide to help ensure that your cuts are parallel.
