I'm so glad I found this video. I could never articulate my thoughts about the "floating heads" style posters that inundate the movie landscape currently, but you did it perfectly!

This reminds me of polish movie posters from the 80s. When American films were shown in the eastern block, often the movie posters were entirely redesigned, sometimes by artists who had never seen the movie. The posters are sometimes otherworldly, creative, and
eye catching. They're a really good source of inspiration imo.

One of those very niche topics that appeals to me greatly. So I’m really glad YouTube recommended this to me.

As someone who has worked in and has a great passion for film, but has also been doing YouTube in the side: I can’t stand how every movie poster now seems to be like a YouTube thumbnail, pointing to the big shiny thing, or in this case actor.

Whereas you pointed out: it’s a case where instead they could be art, and actually captivate you or engage your imagination.
