This is the opposite equivalent of "Harry, did you put your name in the goblet of fire"
Dumbledore asked calmly.

THe light novel was more intense... Ainz-sama shouted in pure anger that his inhibitor is not calming him down.
Everyone in the room is scared and wrapped in despair in fear of Ainz-sama

This was the complete opposite of the LN: Ainz was constantly overriding his Emotion control, crushing everyone in the room with despair and reducing Lupu to a groveling mess.

"why didn't you report this to me" Ainz said calmly

The thing about LN is that they convey the emotion to a whole nother level. The despair of Lupusregina facing Ainz, the despair of Enri when she first met Ainz, the despair of Nigun facing Ainz, the despair of Lizardmen vs Cocytus, the despair of Brain vs Shalltear, the despair of Foresight and a lot more. The only they got right was Clementine, Sebas’s glare to Climb, and Empire soldiers shitting their pants, Guu and Snake guy, Fluder in front of Ainz, aswell as the legendary Pandora’s Actor scene(they made it 100x better). Their level of despair is the same level as Clementine vs Ainz scene. If you like seeing the enemy cower in the face of Ainz then LN tickles that fantasy even more since the LN also covers what the other party is thinking aswell.

Here is the what was written in ln

>16:41 Nazarick Time

A nervous-looking Lupusregina entered Ainz’s office. The panic and unease of being suddenly summoned was written all over her face. Inside the office were Lupusregina, the regular maid Sixth, the battle maid Narberal, Aura, who was the one most familiar with the forest, the Eight Edge Assassins on the ceiling, and the owner of the room, Ainz. Incidentally, Albedo was still in confinement.

Lupusregina was about to prostrate before Ainz when he interrupted her.

“Lupusregina, is there something you’ve kept from me?”

After seeing the confused look on her face, he wondered if she did not know about it after all. Ainz decided to repeat what he had heard about the Giant of the East and the Serpent of the West from the Adventurer’s Guild.

However, as he saw that Lupusregina seemed to have known about this long before, Ainz’s mood rapidly deteriorated. He exhaled long and loud.

“So you were aware of this, then?”

“Yes. About that—”

“You fool!”

Ruled by anger, Ainz’s wrath-filled shout echoed through the room.

As the others recoiled like they had been struck by lightning, Ainz felt something suppress his emotions, but even after the peak of rage was cut off, his anger surged up again, and there was no way he could fully rein in his ire.

“Why did you not report this to me? Were you trying to keep this from me?”

“N-no! Nothing like that!”

“Then why? Why did none of this reach me at all! What was the reason for that?”

“B-because I th-thought it wasn’t a big deal, s-so I didn’t report…”

For some reason, the sight of the frightened battle maid peeking up at him only incensed him further.

“Lupusregina Beta! I am thoroughly disappointed in you!!”

Lupusregina was not the only one who flinched at this. Nabe and Sixth were trembling too, and the Eight Edge Assassins on the ceiling seemed to have frozen up as well.

“I gave you discretion over handling the village, but that does not mean you can do as you please! You were told to report anything that happened in the village, anything at all, so what is the meaning of this!”

“That’s…”

Ainz’s face twisted as he looked down on Lupusregina, who was unable to answer him.

This was an unforgivable sin for a worker; no, for anyone.

These rules were obvious for anyone who did business, or rather, for anyone who worked in society at all: “Report, Communicate, Discuss”. It was an abbreviation of reporting what you had learned, communicating clearly with others and discussing issues as they came up. They were very important; the lifeblood of the giant that was working society.

If she can’t even do that, I don’t think I can forgive her from the perspective of a leader… no…

As he looked on the terrified Lupusregina, Ainz could not help but think that he was at least partially to blame. These mistakes would only result if a superior was unreliable and could not properly direct his subordinates.

In anime it just shows lupus was scared and other maids were.

Probably the only thing everyone in the tomb fears is him being mad at them.

This is probably the scariest moment for Nazarick denizens. The idea of your God who is usually calm, composed and merciful being severely disappointed and angry at you because you were careless and ignorant of your task.

The anime wasn't able to convey this, but the description in the light novel and to a certain extent in the manga shows how intense it was. When even the hidden Eight Edge Assassins in the room froze from fear and a Floor Guardian was taken aback, that's when you know you really messed it up.

don’t know why albedo’s in this scene, in the light novel she was in confinement

I have a feeling that the only reason why Lupis failed to communicate about the situation is because she let her sadism as well as being carefree to realize the importance the village is.

Just to let everyone know:
An anime is OK less details

Manga is more details and uncensored events

But the a LN will always be the best if u looking for great details of events.

In the LN, Albedo isn’t present in the room since she’s on disciplinary confinement. It’s just Ainz, Lupusregina, Narberal, Aura & Cixous, the maid attending to Ainz for the day.

The Light Novel conveys this scene better. When he's done yelling at her, she's visibly terrified. It's the equivalent of your god telling you that you've utterly failed them. It's the ultimate shame.

Crazy how in the LN ainz was making everyone shit themselves with his anger, his character in ygdrassil was actually more leaned into roleplay rather than to min/max his power, but its thanks to it that his presence is so terrifying to the new worlders and so authoritative to the NPCs

Everyone when Ainz scolds: "I'm sorry"
Everyone when Ainz apologizes:

In the LN I thought Lupusregina would end up traumatized after this

Honestly, I can see how this is partly Ainz's fault. He knows he has servants that would literally die for him. Who would carry an order out to a T regardless of their own personalities or disposition (for the most part). If he had been a bit more clearer and less flippant in his orders, this wouldn't have happened.

In saying that, still Beta's fault but it's definitely something that Ainz could have prevented if he gave clearer orders and relayed the consequences of failing the task.
