That makes complete sense actually. Since Albedo was originally written to be ugly on the inside and beautiful on the outside, it stands to reason that her sister is the complete opposite.

A reminder to everyone that althought Nigredo looks likeable, nice and caring about the humans and tries to advice Momonga to stop his atrocities, she only cares about the babies, once they turn 2y she casts them away like that toy story meme ("I don´t want to play with you anymore). Pestonya takes them in once Nigredo ditch them away

For those who wondering the blood on her scissors, it's not because she cut her face, but because she stabs pestonya. Why? It's her passive, if anybody enters her place, she will stab them immediately and keep attacking them, unless they bring her doll.

Sadly you cut off the last frames of this scene, where Sebas slightly smiles when Ainz said he will allow some humans to be spared and escape. I really loved that small detail from the animators.

She's not just nice but the one with most sense and rational thought in the group.

Nigredo's personality is oddly influenced by which she was scripted - she was mainly meant a jump scare for her creator's that was that. She didn't really have a role. So her passion to spare the lives is her scripted part, as that is what she was based on: a horror girl who would only attack if not given the love of her doll. Other than that, when she was Awaken, she has perhaps the most human characteristics almost on the lines of Sebas which allowed her to betray Ainz to the point her sister demanded her head for her treason

Despite her terrifyingly faceless appearance and the fact she carries oversized, blood tipped, scissors, she seems like a nice lady, so long as she doesn’t get upset or worse. For some reason, she seems more like a same age (or twin age) sister, rather than older sister to Albedo. IDK why, but that’s just how I see it.

It’s not just about Ainz seeing the humans differently because he is not one anymore, you also gotta remember that beside Players, he sees them all as NPCs.

I half expected her to show up in Isekai Quartet when I got to reading about her.
Like imagine she shows up as a substitute teacher and everyone freaks out.

Nigredo was literally only made to jumpscare the members of ainz ooal gown and i find that hilarious. The members apparently went full power trying to kill her but couldnt cause thers no friendly fire

Nigredo is always teetering between being good and evil, and that's a really nice contrast since albedo is an actual devil and the other sis is more nonchalant about stuff

I find it funny that one of the guildmates made her to be a creepy jump scare character to scare other guildmates yet she's the one of the most merciful ones despite her looks.
