Grandfather pleads guilty in case of toddler’s fatal fall on cruise ship | ABC News

Salvatore “Sam” Anello pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the tragic death of his 18-month-old granddaughter, who, in July 2019, fell from a cruise ship window Anello believed was closed.

The grandfather goes to the window put his head out the window, than picks up the little girl and hold her out the window and she falls....in the video that you didn’t show...his head out the window... come on now....grandpa should have tried to say he accidental dropped her verses saying there was a window he stuffed his head and her little body through but thought there was a window....I guess now the family is going to blame the cruise line to sue for money. There is something wrong with this family...

Grandpa clearly knew the window was open when he was dangling his head outside of it. Mom with the dry tears suing the cruise line. Give me a break!

The family and grandpa seemed sketchy when they sued the cruise ship. Grandpa seemed to lie about being colorblind and not knowing window was open. They lost the case because of the video showing he lied to the media. And pleading guilty only to escape jail time because the jury would convict him for sure. The video was crucial evidence to expose liars. The only innocent was the girl and the cruise ship.

It is so unbelievable that these people are trying to sue the cruise line when the grandfather is on video leaning out of the window. Makes zero sense. And anyone who has been on a cruise knows how obvious it is when a window is open. Makes it hard to sympathize.

this sounds like a murder? he lied about the window being open.. how could you not tell anyway.. he lied and said he didn't realise it was open but cctv showed that he leaned over out of the window before he got his grand daughter ? why ? did he want to do it and make it look like an accident.. was they trying to sue the cruise company for negligence? this doesn't sound right at all.. and courts needed to be tougher.. a little girl has died..

I knew all along the grandfather was lying, terrible terrible terrible what happened to that poor little girl, I felt for the grandfather until I heard they were trying to sue the cruise line for negligence when all along it was him.

Man A: gets zero jail time; rebuilds with family.
Man B: possesses a drug
Man B: gets multiple years of jail time; family falls into ruin

The grandfather knew their was no glass because he stuck his head out. It was like he was checking to make sure their was no glass. This is murder. The parents are either in on it for money through a lawsuit or they love grandpa more then their own daughter.
