I can't remember who said it, but the quote "comparison is the thief of joy" came to mind when you were talking about how social media was making you feel bad about your art. I've also got to try and stop comparing myself and my art to what others make and also what the algorithm wants otherwise it just sucks out all the fun of making things and growing as an artist ☺️ great video as always Kelsey!

I actually just commented on another vid about being good enough haha- I find it so hard to be aware of my skillset and where I can improve but get into the "i'm not good enough" trap. I'm all about planning and I've got that plan for improvement (regular practice and classes!!!) and i'm implementing it!!! thanks for helping to quiet those voices- that vincent quote has always been my top fav !!

Not sure why this just popped up on my feed after all this time but I'm grateful to have watched this! This is so timely at least for me. I've been dealing with the same thing where I feel so negative when I'm looking at my yt apps and IG every single day. Now thinking of deleting them and dedicating a day a week for only social media and analytics stuff!

I finally removed Instagram from my phone this last week. My confidence went up, I have been able to focus on personal growth. Somehow after I stopped posting on Instagram my Etsy sales tripled same week.

We are okay without Instagram!
