I love how they are so advanced, like they land on a plantet with these huge ships and the first thing to come off is a guy carrying bagpipes just playing them, it’s strangely cool

After so many millenia, a few things still preserved from old Earth:

... a Van Gogh painting
.... and bagpipes.

One thing I liked about the movie is that despite the limited screen time of the House Artreides troops, the movie shows that their reputation is well warranted.
Note how a detatchment of Artreides troops was able to hold their own against an enemy nearly three times their number until a batallion of the emperor's finest attacked them in the back. You'd think the suprise attack alone was more than sufficient for the Harkonans to seize the day but no, they left absolutely nothing to chance.

My girlfriend laughed at me in the cinema because I was so moved by the scene when they arrived on Arrakis, it brought me to tears with pure fuckin epicness. I've never read the books or even knew what Dune was before I watched the film, i just knew Hans Zimmer was involved an i liked the look of the trailer so I went but couldn't tell you how blown away I was by the film. I came straight home to look for content online just because Iwanted to talk about what I'd just witnessed. It was pure perfection on the big screen.

The image from behind of the Atreides entourage waiting to disembark the transport on Arrakis is one of my favourite visuals in the whole movie. The fact bagpipes are still in use 8, 000 years from now warmed my heart!

When an Ancient Greek family of Spanish bullfighters shows up to blare their Scottish bagpipes you know they didn’t come to play.

Hearing a BAGPIPE in this furturistic movie was incredible. The final stand of Atreides will forever be etched in my theatre watching memory. Hans Zimmer you have blown my mind once more.
