I am a white woman and a recent cancer survivor. Regrowing hair has been challenging, but some of the information you've given in your videos has really helped! My grandchildren are biracial and I have learned so much from you about caring for their hair and one day, I tried on myself. Thank you!!

I know it's not much, but my hair literally grew 2 inches in three months, and I've NEVER been able to retain length. My hair could barely fit in a ponytail straightened and now at 19, my hair almost passes my chin. I started putting more effort into my hair, and I see growth every 2-3 weeks. I hope to be able to have my hair in a cute puff by the end of the summer. I used to never think I'd be able to have longer hair and while I'm not yet at 12 inches, I've come farther than ever before. Here's what I did:

1. Deep condition/wash my hair EVERY week.
2. Apply leave in conditioner and coconut oil on DAMP hair.
3. Twist up my hair, throw a stylish scarf on, and leave it alone.

These three things have helped me retain more length than I ever had before. I hope it helps you guys.

The Lord is coming back. He loves you dearly and calls for you to come back home to Him. He calls for repentance and belief in the Gospel. It’s time to fully surrender to Christ. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

When buying oils, make sure you look at the actual ingredients. These days it’s good to get these oils in the purest form, a lot of scamming happens with the front labels

This actually works. My hair has gotten thicker and is in the middle of my back now. I also use this on my lashes. Especially when I use to get my lashes done and the fake ones would take my natural lashes out when they came off. My lashes grew back in no time. The only difference is I added vitamin e oil and black seed oil to mine.

I grew up using Castor Oil and I can honestly say I also swear by it! It’s so good for as a part of a happy hair journey.

I do agree those cheap oils are not good. Protective styles I use is a turban have them in all colors and I avoid wigs and weaves at all cost.. that tension will cause issues after awhile. Drink lots of water. Oils I use are avocado, almond and jamaican castor oil and fenugreek oil just for the scalp. Coconut oil is to heavy for my hair.. I love SheaMoisture product line smells amazing and great moisture. Heat is done twice a month at the hairdresser under the dryer or a steam press. I get a trim and oil treatment as needed. Less is more and consistency is key

I started my hair journey in 2018. I used to have long hair but I was always relaxin it. So when I saw people doing natural hair I decided to have a BIG Chop too. Now my hair is healthy and strong also long. It only took me 2 years now. To grow it back. Long hair runs in the family ☺️😇

one tip is to try different the oils on your SKIN, if it works for your skin, it'll do the same for your hair. for me its one i never hear recommended for hair, ROSEHIP OIL. it worked wonders on my skin and i tried it on my hair & i couldn't believe the results

Your hair is gorgeous. I am going to give some of these oils a try. My hair is thinning and short. I have never had shoulder length hair. All I want is to have hair all over my head☺. I have been natural for several years. Thanks for sharing.

Mercy, thank you for all your advice & tips. It is SO wonderful to see Sisters of North American, African, Caribbean, South American, Mexican, European, & Asian-African descent growing their hair out naturally & healthy!! No fried, dyed & laid to the side. I remember the ONLY acceptable beauty when I was young 1980s-90s was press & curl or a perm. Wow, we have come a long way baby with less heat & more love of the curls/kinky hair!! The amazing thing is the true softness of our hair with a twist out or blow out. Water is now our friend & Women of Color have learned to compliment each other on the various styles & textures. We are so beautiful around the World!! Thank you, as a Nurse, for reiterating a healthy lifestyle of less stress, eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep and STAYING positive for us ALL. The Beauty Market is changing and it is because of experts like you!
