I got it before I knew it was rare. The game knows what you want and gives you what you don’t want. Therefore you must act like you don’t want it to get it. Pro tip.

Holy shit man. I just did 3 combines with Overwhelming HP + 3 random cerulean mods, got both Shot Focus and Shield Collector. Thats crazy, thank you so much for this.

i always combine random cerulean mods everyday when it comes time to dismantle some mods, 342 hrs on the game still no luck with shot focus

Thanks for this! I tried 5x with your method and didn't get it, but then I was combining a bunch of extra Magazine Compulsive (rare/cerulean/special) to get more Descendant mods to use...and Shot Focus dropped on like the 10th combine!!! Finally, after hundreds of combines my journey is over lol.

Luck was in your favor that’s what that was. I wish it was that easy but I’ve done exactly what you’re talking about. I’ve tried it every different way and it really falls down to when RMG smiles on you. You get what you’re looking for.

I never once stressed out about this mod didn’t even know about it for an awhile. Found out about it so started combining my spare purple mods daily instead of dismantling them not caring about what type of mod any were…& I’ve got Shot Focus 3 times now. The secret is to not care about it lol

This is just an idea of how maybe the combine system works, it randomly picks 1 of the 4 mods as a base of what the drop pool will be for that item, it then adds up the rarities and assigns a score, the score is what determines how rare your item will be, so if you put 4 purple mods, you'll almost always get another purple mod, however if you put in 3 purple mods in a yellow mod, you're now more likely to get the higher rarity purple mods but also the lower rarity yellow mods. If it works this way, then maybe it's possible to put in 3 transcendant mods and 1 ultimate/rare mods and getting a less common transcendant mod than you'd normally get?

Using this secret sauce recipe I got it after 5 combinations after having chased this one for a few weeks. The combo is correct, I personally used 3 Sensory Dep (HP) and 1 Passionate Sponsor mods to get mine.

Got mine from a lazy combination of Cerulean weapon mods and Descendant mod. Wasn't really expecting it, I just got gold to spare from the Valby runs.
