Saw all five originals together for the last time back in 1983. They didn't disappoint and I consider it one of my favorite concerts that I ever attended

They were great and Burdon was the best vocalist of the Invasion. He had an amazing voice.

Eric Burdon currently resides in Athens, Greece. In fact, he did a surprise gig at a small village in the mainland, which the one next to where my family there lives.

This is one of the only documentaries that has been done with class. Thank you, sir.
All the others are really misleading about all the bands, not just the animals.

Once in germany awesome shows!!!

Saw most of the early 60's groups in the UK live By far the Animals were no question the best on stage.

I love these cats! These white dudes by way of the Uk, were true purveyors of the blues! Eric Burdon was one of THE greatest British blues singers period! The work that he recorded with WAR afterwards is proof of that. Really soulful and funky shit. Chas Chandler's bass playing was on point! Their guitarist Valentine, was wicked when it came to throwing down Chuck Berry and John Lee Hooker licks, solos and grooves! This band was completed with solid players on drums and the organ as well. I really respect and enjoy this band.
An outstanding complement and addition to the British blues and MOD scenes!

What a great band. They were pioneers of British blues. Sadly they are rarely heard on the radio and lack the recognition the stones and Beatles received even though they went to USA in the mid 1960s. Eric Burdon is still great and his album he bought out ten or so years ago is in my opinion some of the best singing he has ever done. He is amazing live and I remember him singing with Jon Bon Jovi amongst other greats. Another great artist who has only been appreciated more is Rory Gallagher

I saw the Animals open for the Rolling Stones in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 23, 1965. They played a full set and, in this 15 year old's ear, outdid the Stones! Burdon was amazing; he didn't need a microphone to reach the cheap seats. His take on House of the Rising Sun live still resonates in these old bones these 58 years later. They came across as an authentic blues band, visceral and feral.

I had to get used to Jagger's gyrations that I though took away from their performance. They had the #1 on the charts with "Satisfaction" which they closed with and it was a bitchin lick by Keef to hear live as a new song. I still go back and forth, both bands were great, their newness and focus was high energy. It was a wild time to hear song after song that are now etched into the rock legends.

John Sebastian of the Luvin' Spoonful tells it to those of you who weren't around in the 60's, He sang
"I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout a rock 'n' roll"

Just a sidelight: Chas Chandler was so much more than "just" the bass player in The Animals, not that I'm trivializing that accomplishment. A quick SEARCH is pretty interesting & worth the time of anyone interested in a compelling chapter in Brit & US music of the 60s & 70s. He was BIG in introducing Jimi Hendix to The UK and, hence, the world!

I have watched & listened to several of your videos. As far as your delivery, this was by far the best. Seems like you have received critical comments, taken them to heart & practiced before recording...Way To Go!!!

The only group from the British Invasion that had any soul. Love their song, “ one monkey don’t stop no show “ !

Eric Burden, the lead singer. Got work singing with other bands. I recommend "Spill the Wine" with War.

Many of those 60s bands as good as they were could not have made it in today's music climate, but the Animals definitely could have.
