I don’t blame Wang Chuqin at all. After all this is the Olympics, pressure is understandable and the racket incident probably pushed him off edge. Honestly I feel that this is a great learning experience for wang as losing acts as the best experience.

As for punishment, he may face criticism from fans and coaches alike, but it shouldn’t lead to any bans or significant fines as after all, he did help win a gold in the mixed doubles that had eluded china for so long.

There will probably be at least some repercussions for him since losing to Moregard was a bad loss. However he will definitely get more chances in the future, he also won the mixed doubles showing that he can handle pressure.
