This was basically a modernized version of the RC-6253, which was a flip clock. I think this was the rarer of the two.

I bought one of these on a whim at a local thrift store back when I was in college, 2010. Turned out to be the coolest alarm clock I ever had, by far. Just tested it again, and still works!

After doing some light Googling just to see what comes up, I found this video as well as some old eBay listings for similar models. Thanks to one of those listings, I now know that there is supposed to be a small incandescent light bulb illuminating the FM - AM slider. Like mine, it seems most people's clocks of this model have the light bulb burned out. Too bad, would love to see one restored to it's former self and see how that played out as well.
