New York demands Trump's impeachment after Capitol riot leaves five dead

Members of New York's Congressional delegation on Saturday demanded the removal of President Donald Trump from office.

At a news conference on the steps of City Hall Congressman Hakeem Jeffries said Trump presents "a clear and present danger to the health, safety and well-being of the American people and our democracy."

It comes as several people took to the streets in New York to also protest the impeachment of the President.

Democrats in Congress have laid out plans for swift impeachment of President Donald Trump as the the country comes to terms with the violent siege of the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters that left five dead.
