Trump Impeachment hearings live: Public testimony from Volker, Vindman, Williams & Morrison

The first hearing will feature testimony from Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, and Alexander Vindman, a National Security Council official who heard the president's July 25 call with the Ukrainian president. Two other officials -- Kurt Volker and Tim Morrison -- will testify in the afternoon.

I don't think Ambassador Volker is necessarily defending VP Biden, he says "I don't think an American vice president would do anything he is in effect saying because one in a vice president of the US it is not possible to do what is being pursued in this inquiry
