Reader be aware that whilst I appreciate this sight I feel that the site should declare that it’s theology and answers are governed by reformed Calvinist leaning which shows in some answers or explanations and will reflect in some answers.

I don't get it. Why did in proverb mentions that there are 6 things that the lord hate but proceeds to mention 7 of them?. I need help.

Fitting, all of these hates were established and introduced to the first human pair Adam and Eve by the father of the lie Satan, himself, and have been in the hearts of humankind from youth on ever since. A constant struggle for a true disciple of Christ to keep these bad traits in check. It is much easier to sin than to do good!

I respect your effort to post: I took the liberty to help you fix your dogma. Your first point: Arrogant or haughty pride, has nothing to do with Christian dogma of what you said. Wow. You clearly did not go to bible college and are not a pastor. I just could not let you truck it so hard. i hope my rebuke educates you and that you are not so arrogant to take offense.... you took too much liberty adding false narrative assuming that scripture is referring to Christians who think to highly of themselves as compared to others. The other points were okay. I will rate this below average.

The point of arrogance that this scripture is referring to is the pride of life. Like someone thinking they did it all themselves without God's help. Like a non Christian success story, the person thinks it was through their effort alone, and they take the glory for their own hard work and fail to see God's fingerprints near by having helped them succeed. One can add that scripture is referring to people who have pride in their actions and abilities and those people think they are better than everyone else because of what they did or have. These 7 things are issues of the human heart. A Christian does not continue to sin once saved. At least a real Christian born of God does not. (1John5:18) Therefore, it is not likely a Christian would exhibit such lowly characteristics. Perhaps a new Christian, but all are to be sin less. Righteous. That scripture is referring to what God hates about Non Christian hearts of man. You errored bro. Be more masterful teaching people about the Word. You have a smug pride about your look. Fix it. humble yourself before you get humbled. I wonder how righteous you actually are, with such a off base interpretation. I would say you have closet sins, you could be luke warm or a hypocrite.... we can be brothers, so just consider this a rebuke. and remember a wise man appreciates a correction, whereas a fool despises it.

Who am I to rebuke you...? Your elder.
