Man, Arijit is truly One of the greatest Singer of all time, considering he is still 36 and has already accomplished like everything. Truly Amazing.

Let me clear one misconception going around. It's not that old singers used to sound perfect without autotune. Arijit had said earlier that the takes kept for our old singers can be the ones which today's singers can also give but on top of that autotune is added slightly. So basically if you measure at each note, even the legends used to go out of tune at places. So noone was singing it perfectly

What Arijit is saying that comcposers like Pritam tune the human takes a little to sound more beautiful. If you notice Arijit's songs sung by Mithoon (like Dil jhoom), Mithoon has kept raw takes of Arijit there where you can see his breaking voice too which actually sounds beautiful in itself. So it's not that these singers can't sing without autotune, but that autotune is just getting added today as an extra layer to fine tune a little

😢 KK come back otherwise where ever you are talk to us, i think sonu nigam is a synonym to him and whenever i hear his name i always feel that why don't we have KK with us. this new generation they don't understand what we lost, he was prominent and veteran singer in the industry.

This is why Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar are regarded as the greatest male and female playback singers of all time respectively. They did not rely on autotune to make their voices sound melodious.

no wonder these autotune singers sounds so different in real when they are asked to sing acoustic version, plus they lip sync most of the time on stage

This is called "Humbleness"...he never took his own name..but if it were other singers then they would definitely took their own name first 😂

He is right but on top of that its more to do with frequency spectrum getting narrower now a days . As we are using more of software sounds and pre recorded samples which are so fine tuned that a human voice cannot match that. So its important to tune the voice with those electronic pitch perfect sounds.
