Good tutorial, I was able to memorise most of it without having to come back here, but there was one thing you forgot to mention and that was that after you selected around the model you inverted the selection before going onto refine edge, I had to find it out by myself since whenever I went straight into refine edge it would select my picture and color it "red" instead of the background being "red". :)

If I wanted to take a bit more time with the hair but was having trouble selecting some of it, do you think it would be a good idea to reconstruct some of it (for example, the frizzy bunch in the top right)? I used to reconstruct hair by using smudging techniques but that was ages ago in CS3.

Great video! I am a newbie though and I am wondering why when I go to refine edge and go to overlay, the part the is red is the face and not the background., just the opposite. Sorry, kinda stuck there. Anybody knows what I am doing wrong?

Great tutorial, but I can't use the refine edge radius tool on white background with a blond hair model. :( It doesn't work on it. Could you please help me, how could I select blonde hair on white background?
