Magnus: well... yeah

A huge difference between Carlsen and Kasparov is that when Kasparov loses he goes after his opponents, but when Carlsen loses he "goes after himself" i.e. he critizices his own play

Anish after losing - Good stuff guys, good stuff

To be fair, Magnus hasn't had a lot of practice with losing

Kasparov called Radja's style shameful and disgusting after 15 year old Radja Crushed Garry at his peak. He didnt even resign, he just left his clock on and left to lose on time. Afraid of getting mated

Carlsen is a sore loser in a rather innocent way. Kasparov was just vicious. He would go after people long after the game. His treatment of 15 years old Radjabov was simply disgraceful.

Magnus Carlson may come off as arrogant but the man is just extremely honest.

To me, "bad loser" denotes someone who exhibits poor sportsmanship because of losing. By that measure, Magnus isn't such a bad loser at all.

I love the Carlsen approach. It's like "If you are a bad loser, become better at winning. Don't become better as losing."

Grischuk response is very true and I see nobody talking about it. Korchnoi was known for sweeping the pieces of the board a lot and apparently in his matches against Petrosian he kicked him under with his feet under table while the match was still being played.

These videos of chess players talking about the chess world from a personal perspective need to be longer. I hate they're all like 15 seconds to 1 minute long

Magnus atleast goes hard on himself and congratulates the ones who knocks him out. I cant for sure say that about a gm named garry.

The worst non-losing loser was without doubt Bobby Fischer for dissing Botvinnik for never participating in tournament play as a champion. Then after he won championship, he QUIT tournament play and then seeing Karpov's dominance refused to defend the title, Fischer went mental because he KNEW there was an excellent likelihood of his defeat. Love Fischer's chess, but his dysfunctions swallowed him whole after winning the crown.

I want to hear Grischuk's story, this low attention span format is for TikTokers not for chess players...

The question isn't well defined to be honest. Sasha understood it but no one else really did. In my opinion, what they mean by "bad loser" is someone who blames others, is nasty to opponents, won't take any responsibility for the loss. Yes, Magnus hates to lose and can throw a bit of a fit but he almost always blames himself and credits opponents. Korchnoi, from what I've heard, was pretty nasty.
