I was in Brandvlei as well as Pollsmoor . But I would suggest that Zonderwater prison outside Pretoria was the worst prison I’ve ever been in. It’s nickname was the WA WEIL ( in Africaans) which means WAGON WHEEL in English. I know what I’m talking about, I spent 10 years in South African prisons, 7 of them in Zonderwater. I was a 27, because I was a convicted murderer. I still have my prison card from that time . Chris

Pentridge prison in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, & Goulburn Gaol in New South Wales, Australia, Grafton Gaol NSW Australia, & Fremantle Gaol in Western Australia, & Boggo Road Gaol in Queensland Australia, are some of the WORST Gaols in Australia, maybe do a segment on those Gaols mate.

You completely left out every single one of Canada's federal penitentiaries. The old Kingston Penitentiary which is now a museum, is one of Canada's oldest and most infamous prisons, also one of the most dangerous prisons in Canadian history. It was famous for only being escaped from less than a half dozen times. Plus it had some of the most deplorable living conditions for inmates for years! It was finally closed down and made into a museum.

The current maximum security federal penitentiary in Ontario is Millhaven and it is bad for inmate to inmate violence and currently houses the likes of one half of the Ken and Barbie Killers, Paul Bernardo among other Canadian serial killers. Then the maximum security prison Collins Bay is known as Gladiator School. The maximum security prisons here are bad for inmate vs inmate and gang violence.
