First bought the HG love it. Then added the Sentry. Perfect combo.

If I'm not mistaken, the send and return are same as those found in Boss noise suppressor. Your guitar goes into the input, dirt boxes (and amp preamp) goes into the loop, other pedals go after the output. The dry guitar signal controls the opening of the gate.

(I'm referring to the video where he said he didn't know what they are for.)

I would imagine "send and return" is for use in an effects loop, damped for higher input - if you have an effects loop, this is the best place for it removing preamp noise too

Meh... there is much more to talk about for the sentry, the effects loop is here to detect your guitar signal (as pure as it can be) and gate whats on the loop, thats useful if you have very noisy pedals, so noisy that with a regular noise gate at the end of the chain you would have to set the threshold so high that it would confuse itself between noise and notes so it would result in cutting off your notes.
Also the multi band function is the biggest and unique feature of this noise gate (for example pin pointing the 50 or 60 cycle hum from your single coil ONLY and gate it is HUGE!!!) and you haven't said a word about it. That is not a review, please re title your video as an "Overview"
