This hits even worse when you learn the authors father passed away prior to the War Arc. He brought Minato back because he felt his own father was alongside him for the completion of the series. Absolutely heartbreaking.

And as a kid who never got to know his mom due to terminal cancer, Naruto meeting Kushina will kill me every time - and I’ll forever understand why Kishimoto wanted to immortalize his father in his series.

For the people who grew up with this series, Naruto's interactions with his parents always hit differently. I cry every time. Naruto isn't an anime I'd rewatch in full, but I'm glad it was a major part of my late childhood and teenage years. I still hold the characters and story close to my heart.

Mannn, the emotions this anime gives you. It’s nice to find an anime that makes you feel and really personifies their characters. We didn’t see Minato a lot but we still had a connection to him and Kushina. Good times 👏🏽

Love how all of the previous Kages were looking intently at this scene. That even after all the strife, they were able to see that the world they lived in was still able to produce someone like Naruto.
