Need help please! Minor child is 15 years old and a Cuban Citizen. Immigrant Visa status is still pending awaiting interview. Case was filed April 2019, preference category child of US Citizen. Petition was approved and Visa application was approved. Next step was interview. The pandemic happened and they couldn’t get to Guyana for interview. Now Guyana has denied a rescheduling of interview because they said they have sent case to “Post Havana” for processing. This was in May. There is still no update on case. How do I find out if case is lost? Something doesn’t seem right. It’s been more than 4 years. Maternal mother wants his in the US before his 16th birthday as she is stating he is required to enlist in the Cuban military after his 16th birthday, which is in November. Is this true? And will enlisting invalidate his immigration process? We are just waiting for the interview. Please help. We have been so patient and don’t know what else to do. 😢

Thank you for your helpful information but What is the formula used for derivative family petition? Because me n my brother is missing from the petition. At the time, my grandfather filed the application we were under 21 years old.

How about parent with green card ? If they file petition while underage but then the child age out ?

What if you were born in Sicily Italy tp a Sicilian mom and America dad who were married before child birth. The famil was brought here in 1966 undee age of 18 I was here on an LPR as a child in 1966 he was born in 1949 get deported 22 years later

I'm petition my brother .he is india.. he priority date is April 2007 and is case approved by uscis July 2010 but he have three kids one is now 24 years old one is 20, and 3 is 19 so we can do that my niece and nephew they can eligible for immigrants visa
