❤ Mr Travolta can do anything he sets his mind to do. He is an EXCEPTIONALLY TALENTED man who can sing, dance, act but I'm sure that he works EXTREMELY hard for many many hours until the character he is playing is PERFECT!!
I've heard that he is a kind, trustworthy, loving, helpful friend. He goes above and beyond in his personal life too. He is raising his PRECIOUS children to be great in whatever they choose to do or be!!
I wish John and his children nothing but peace and happiness!!! ❤

38 years later and I have seen for myself the effect Urban Cowboy still has on folks old and young. I went to see Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee on the Urban Cowboy reunion tour back on June 9th in Renfro Valley Kentucky, and not only did they sell out the entire theater but there were people there of all age groups. When my wife and I met them in person after the show they could not have been kinder, the Urban Cowboy Movement shaped and molded Country Music into something special.

I was, at the time of the movie's release, one of the "locals" who was skeptical about Travolta's ability to impersonate a Texas (Spur TX) accent without turning it into implausible farce or hick-like ridicule. But he did a great job!

Cool to see Glenn got a second chance and his big break there. A lot of tough actors were run out of Hollywood for not gelling with the cliquey directors etc.

I grew up on this classic. 💜👌 Debra & John did a great job! Scott Glenn was a convincing ex con & woman abuser! 😆 The entire soundtrack is awesome too.

I think that's a little debatable that Scott Glenn would never have to audition again after Urban Cowboy, he's done some good films but he's always been more of a character actor. Then again those guys often steal films from the leads
