Im Interested in this topic, 👍. I always buy Amazon phones at least 1 year old so saves me few hundred dollars. I don't like samsung edge phones they break easier than flat screen phones even with cases.

I am TOTALLY a fan of cracked screens. I have a phone payment of $45 a month. And every time I look at that cracked screen knowing I still owe $500 on it, I feel something special in my heart. My phone rep didn’t offer me a screen protector or phone insurance when I bought it. Must be because I told him I only wanted the phone and ‘accidents never happen to me. I’m good with my phones.’ Later at a Starbucks someone bumps into me and my phone crashes onto the tile floor. I’ll have a busted phone with my Mocha please. 😳

If you have health insurance, car insurance, why not phone insurance? It’s cheaper to replace the phone through insurance than buying the phone out and restarting. Warranty is for factory purposes. This is with any phone carrier.

Oh, I cover my back glass with *Liquid Armor, * once a year. They put it on at Staples here in the East Coast. My glass can't be scratched. It's a billion times better than a plastic cover. You should try it Brett.

The pixel 6 insurance costs $150 and if you break the screen you pay $29. That's $179. Out of pocket it costs $200 to replace the screen. You are better off going without the insurance. At least to me .

In case of event if you are okay to downgrade to budget phone costing around $300.00 then do not buy insurance...

Tbh the only reason I purchase insurance is because of just in case it's lost or stolen. A case & screen protector helps a lot on the protection front. That Samsung premium care doesn't cover lost or stolen.

I always use a screen protector and case with my phones- so the chance of me actually breaking it is pretty low. However, I've had at least three phones now that have failed internally. And anymore you'll find the battery is not user replaceable- and batteries don't last forever. So for me, it made sense to pick up the insurance. But then I usually try and hold onto the same model phone for quite a while. Doubt this applies to iPhone fans though 😋

How does nobody talk about the excess cost of phone repair? You pay the monthly cost and then the excess why is that?

Obviously breaking or losing your phone sucks but the blow isn't too bad if you score a sub $200 deal on a previous flagship with a functional inexpensive case/screen protector from eBay. LG phones in particular are always underappreciated despite being good phones so you can find great deals on their previous flagships all over the place.

I bought a Samsung 21 with Samsung Care, I know this because accidentally washed my phone before and they fixed it and I paid 69.00. I dropped my phone today when crossing the road and it was smashed. Now I called Samsung Care and apparently i am only protected by manufacturer warranty! They said i wasnt protected when they fixed my phone under Samsung care so Im going to call the number you gave me

I mean I have a coverage of my home insurance for this ( also when I'm outside) it's cheaper than getting a separate insurance. ( I'm from the Netherlands) 11 dollars is so expensive imo. My home insurance for my small apartment is legit 22 euros a month.

So when you say LCD replacement, do you mean that they replaced your AMOLED screen with an inferior LCD screen? I always see online stores or repair stores refer to their screens as LCD replacement screens. Make me completely skeptical if actual OEM parts are being used on my devices.

I have a galaxy s21 ultra and TMobile no longer repairs phones in my city so for 99$ they'll send me a new s21 ultra for my old one and all I have is a tiny crack in the top left corner... I'ma go ahead and do it Friday
