Can You Use a TV as a Monitor?

To me playing Roblox on the TV is so much better than the monitor. But between the monitor as a TV monitors are so much better when it comes to doing TV things. Because TV's lag when you do a film and shows.

i am using my acer 1080p moniter as a tv for broadcast on my amazon firestick and Nintendo switch and bluray player the only thing tvs have unlike moniters is the abilty to play 3d bluray discs and speakers and more of a movie picture but someways they both have hdmi ports and play the same it just the colors are better on moniters

The only issue I have with is color banding. I'm using a Samsung 45-inch UHD television for my computer monitor and it doesn't seem like anything I do gets rid of the color banding. Any ideas on what I could do or are there any drivers I should download?

I m using Sony 42 inch HD tv n display far superior then external monitors already ve m7 32" which hs very poor display quality when compared to Sony HD
