*please do a video on crating!* i have a two month old shih poo (she has been with us for about a week now and is being potty trained atm via potty pad) and she only had her shots earlier today so i have been advised not to take her outside or put her on the floor as she could catch a lot of diseases and viruses and stuff like that. i let her play in my room until she gets tired twice a day (around 3-4 hours in total) and i do plan on taking her outside and do walks with her once i get the go signal from her vet. but for now, she needs to be in a crate, so please do a video on crating as it would help a lot of us puppy owners! *also if you can, please do a video on vaccinations as well! (if there are side effects, etc.)* thanks so much!

ps. finn looks so handsome! :) he looks like a big fur of cotton hahaha!

pps. i have been watching your videos for quite a while now as i stumbled upon your channel when i was doing research for my puppy. thank you for doing what you do. you inspire me a lot to foster myself in the future. your love and compassion for animals is just amazing. #adoptdontshop

With my puppies, I left puppy pads, most people can't come home, afford to hire someone, stay home or know anyone that will let them out. They did make a mess but I just clean it up and I successfully potty trained mine.

It's clearly ppl who live at home with their parents or work partime jobs who says if you have to work then don't get a job. Some people have to work 8 hours days and some days longer and their dogs are just fine. Just make sure they have access to water and a doggy cam helps so much.

The age and breed is different. My dog is a Maltese and she has learned to sleep most of the time when I'm away. She also has a separate area to go to the rest room to relieve herself if needed. Just get creative and learn to work with your space and be consistent.

You could also use a dog door. If you don't want to install one in your wall you can get one that'll attach to a sliding glass door. You can also get robotic toys that will move and keep your dog entertained when you are gone. There are also cameras you can get that allow you to throw treats and talk to your dog. For water and food you can get feeders that either give food on a schedule or always have food there. Along with water. You can get one that will last a long time. This of course gives you no right to leave your dog alone for longer then 12 hours at max. 12 hours is not recommended ever though.

Great message! I’m a lifelong dog owner and my lab passed away in January, I’ll be getting 2 new boys next month. I have the resources and experience training and caring for dogs, but I’m so concerned about all the newly adopted pets during this quarantine..when life gets back to “normal” will all these pets get re-homed and brought back to the shelters?? Hope not, but time will tell.. it’s a lifelong commitment 🐶🐶💕💖

I just got a new dog about a week ago and I’ve been home with him the entire week and I’m off this week as well and now that he’s warmed up I’m working on crate training. With my schedule I work 11 hour shifts 4 days a week not straight I usually have a day off in between my 4 day work week, and with that I wanted him to have a schedule that he could easily acclimate to when I do start going back to work so I wake up at 4/5am walk and feed him and his next walk is between 12-1pm and that’s usually when I’d have my lunch break so I’ll be able to come home at that time and walk him and his next walk is at 6pm and that’s usually the time I get off work and his last walk is at 10pm before bed so even though I’ve been home I know that this potty schedule is perfect for him cause these are the only times during the day that he actually uses the bathroom. he’s a larger dog and I’ve noticed he doesn’t have the urge to use the bathroom as much, I will be crate training him for when I leave for work, letting him out and walking him during my lunch break and crating him again until I get back home. I do live with family and on their days off when I’m not home it’s nice knowing that the times he will have to be crated during the day are only a few days out of the week. I’ve been stressed wondering if he’s going to be ok in his crate and really been working with him and trying to understand his habits so I can best fit them into mine and my families schedule and your videos have given me the comfort knowing that every dog is different. My dog is also a huge couch potato and can sleep all day due to him being part bulldog.
