Gerrard played with very few world class players throughout his career and every time he reached new levels. You can only imagine how he would have performed in a team that was stacked. Just look at his seasons with Torres, they almost beat a stacked Utd team to the title.

Alonso was one of the most impressive players ever. I fortunately was too young to witness him at LFC(his prime years were there) but from what i saw of him at madrid, i can say, only one player comes close to his vision and passing and that is Kroos. No other player i have seen play is worthy of even being compared to him
