Thanks for the vid! My VW manual states to bleed the brakes in this sequence: right front, left front, right rear, left rear. Why is that?

I replaced the the master cylinder and all brake lines on my 66 beetle, I bled all 4 wheels and the pedal still goes to the floor with no resistance, my question is when replacing the master cylinder should it be bled before connecting the lines to it ? Any help would be appreciated, thank you..

Hey I replaced about 90% of my brake system on my 71 standard excluding the hard lines to the back wheels from the hoses. Everything else is new. While I'm bleeding the brakes the pedal only would travel about half way through the pumping process and then upon bleeding it would only drop about an inch or 2 at most. After finishing, the pedal seems like it's high and I get about 2 to 3 inches of travel on the test drive. The problem that I'm having is that the brake pedal will get very hard where it seems like the brakes are engaged and I would smell pads burning from the front( disk). I'd pull over to inspect, right front caliper was wayy over temp and upon removal the outside pad went from 80% to 30% life . I tried hitting the caliper thinking my slides might be hanging up but everything was moving.
I'm really at a loss right now. It seems like it starts out fine and then the pedal will get harder through the drive where it's literally slowing me down and making the engine run hot. Please give me some insight

I have replaced master cylinder and both front wheel cylinders and the left front rubber line on my 71 beetle and I can't get any pressure to build up on the front end. I have a half pedal for the back brakes but no pressure on the front after bleeding .. what could possibly be causing this ?
