Hi! This is a good video. I also think a better angle for this video concept would have been "How To Start A Record Label With Very Little Resources." One story that comes to mind is how Master P was selling CDs out of the trunk of his car and is now worth millions. If you are an artist with exceptional raw talent, the recording quality and packaging (within reason) isn't going to matter that much. If you aren't an artist and you want your own label, being able to wear multiple hats (being able to write, scheduling recording time, finding artists & having a way to distribute [digitally preferably]) is all you need to get started. I'd say the most important part is learning the legal/business side of the industry so you know how to protect yourself. But really starting a label can be a very organic process where every step doesn't have to traditional.

bring vinyl records whenever I travel and ask them if I can trade my records for a store credit and I pick out some thing that day. Some of my records are from cassette tapes that I would go to the copy shop and make the covers and make the tapes on my two cassette stereo thing and I sent them out by mail and got some nice replies from famous DIY people. I didn’t have any money back then I was in college and now I met the vinyl because I owe it to my younger self and so do you, don’t let any release sit on the closet shelf till your last days and now days that means don’t let any digital thing not see the light of day
