You know Buffy. Angel will always protect you and make sure that you're always safe. Because that's who he is. Angel loves you Buffy that's why he follows you around like a lovesick puppy because he doesn't want you getting hurt. He left Sunnydale because he thought he was doing what was best for you. That to me is true love. And after he left Sunnydale you moved onto fellow vampire Spike.

Yall forget that Cordelia wished Buffy never came to Sunnydale. I always wondered why Cordelia didn't like Buffy cause she liked her on the first day of school then things went left Cordelia herself said that she didnt like Buffy but she respects her too much to lie to her.that was in the episode when the frat was feeding high school girls to the monster and part in the when she was bad episode . And How was she being rude she said hi and she asked her how she was doin and told her why she was in LA but she was pissed at what Angel did so she wasn't smiling .

Everyone always say Buffy and Angel had a poetic love though it was poetic I think Spike and Buffy's love was more poetic because Spike understood Buffy and understood who she was and what she needed more than she did at times. Angel always wanted to protect Buffy meanwhile Spike was more of the helping kind because he knew Buffy didn't want or need to be protected, like Spike said "You're a hell of a woman".
