I love the little glimmers of Angel’s character development here. The slight humour and sarcasm that he lacked when he was a show regular. You can see the character’s a lot more fleshed out in this guest starring appearance!

Angel was her first real love, ((not the common BF/Gf relationship))and it doesn’t matter how much time passes for Buffy or what guy she hooks up with, Angel will always remain in her heart the way no one else will. Just as Buffy will always remain in his. They always have each other’s back when it is the right thing to do. I truly believe that after the ending of their shows, Buffy ends up with him at some point. Then as the prophecy of Angel was foretold back in the finale episode season 1, Angel is rewarded for all he has done in the world, becomes human. Buffy and Angel are together until the end of their days. Thanks for uploading. ❤️❤️❤️

This shows Buffy and Angel are still in love with each other even though they live in separate places. If Angel never turned into Angelus then the two would still be dating. Their love is forever.

The thing is no matter how many other people they dated the indisputable fact is these two would always be each others one true loves.
Also I wished we’d seen more of Angel’s personality on Buffy!

I think why I have always believed Buffy loved Angel in a way she never loved or would love anyone else is because she says so in the season 7 episode “Selfless”, “I killed Angel!! Do you even remember that?! I would have given up everything I had to be with... I loved him more than I will ever love anything in this life! And I put a sword through his heart because I had to.”

And even when Spike “dies” and she says she loves him....he knows it’s not the way he wants her to, it’s not like how she loved Angel and it was never going to be like that.

Liked the heart to heart talk between Buffy and Angel his whole relationship with Cordella never should’ve happened especially since there was no way Cordy would ever win Angels heart fully even though Buffy and Angel were broken up it felt like they were both disrespecting each other by getting involved with other people

I'm reading through the comments and a lot of people think that Angel was acting different in this scene as compared to his own series. But here's the thing Angel and Spike have had a 100 plus year long rivalry with each other. So Angel acting jealous over Spike actually is in character for him. Plus, you can still love someone dearly and not necessarily be in love with them. And I don't know if anyone here has watched ATS season five but there was an episode called the girl in question in which both Angel and Spike go to Italy because they heard that's where Buffy was. And the entire episode all Spike and Angel do is argue with each other about Buffy. So, it's clear that Angel still has some feelings for Buffy even if he was in love with Cordelia. And if the comics are to be taken into consideration then Angel is still in love with Buffy even through the whole twilight arch and beyond.
