Sometimes when I open my mouth, I don't even know if what I'm about to say is credible, so I can't imagine how you feel! However, if it isn't true, it otta be! Thanks again for joining!

Thanks Dale. My family was one of the early Settlers in Stephenville. My Granddad owned land near Hico he acquired in 1920 when he married my Grandma. They lost it in the dust bowl and moved to OKC where my Granddad drove a team pulling crude oil from the well head to rail head. He remained in OKC till he passed but he never lost his love of ranching, of land, of Texas and mostly of horses. He was an excellent hand. My Granddad was a Scots-Irish man who loved his country. Being a cowboy is uniquely American. You may be an excellent rancher and horseman. But if you're not living in the USA you ain't no cowboy. And if you don't at least respect what it means to be a cowboy and why it is uniquely American then you better learn quick before the Cowboy and the USA are nothing other than a romantic memory about a wonderful past.

Like "Hank The Cow Dog", except with more current words, and up to date usage.
