Cooking Oatmeal In A Dash Mini Rice Cooker

Let's cook some oatmeal in a Dash Mini Rice Cooker.

These small appliances only use 200 watts and are great for cooking in small spaces. They are great for RV cooking, van cooking, car cooking, dorm cooking, hotel room cooking, office cooking, etc. They are small, portable, and light weight so they are easy to travel with. They are also excellent prepping gear. Since they only use 200 watts and cook very fast, they can be easily run off of a generator or solar power station.

Thank you for more recent recipes. Most videos are frome 6 years ago. I volunteer for seniors. I just ordered a mini pot for one of my seniors because we need things that cook and shut off. I've been using a mini pot for small portion stews, beans and rice, plus. I will show her a few recipes and hope she uses it. Seniors need things like this. I sometimes forget that I'm cooking, then I smell the wonderful aromas coming from my kitchen.❤

I make oatmeal in my Dash, and I also make grits. But I prefer a creamier texture, so I don't just ignore it. I let the oatmeal or grits come up to full heat and allow them to cook for a few minutes; then I turn the machine to warm and allow it to sit for ten minutes or so. Finally, I turn it back on to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Comes out perfect and it doesn't boil over.

If you add a little butter or Olive oil or some other kind of fat to the oatmeal when it's cooking, you won't have that much to stick to the pot. Thanks for your Dash Mini appliance videos.

I don't know how you do it, every time I've tried to make oatmeal in mine it always foams out all over the counter, I had to set it on a plate to catch the run over. And I was only using 1/3 C of oats!

Have you seen the Nostalgia MyMini Skillet and Noodle Cooker? It only uses 260 watts and is $10 at Walmart. I thought you might make some interesting content if you were to get one.
