I'm gonna try this. Dont have the chime for the belt in my 03, but the autolock engages. Sadly the damage is done and twice repaired. My boys are strong and have damaged the passenger outside handle and brackets because they thought as I that it was unlocked. 😅🤣😂 . Good video. 👌

Thank you! I've owned a 2005 Ram 2500 since new and I always hated that the doors stayed locked after I parked. I tried the procedure in the owners manual but it never worked. I did try this several times before I got it to work, I have a manual transmission and it only worked if I engaged the clutch for some reason?

Thanks for the video. I have a question if I may: I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500. If I hit the lock / unlock bottom on the driver side door, only the front doors will lock or unlock but not the rear doors. Any ideas ? I find it hard to believe that both door actuators went bad at the same time. Thx

This is very interesting, but I’m not sure it’s quite the issue I’m having. Hopefully you have the answer. We bought my son a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, and twice already we have locked the keys in the car. The first time I got out of the car while it was running and the door spring shut on me and locked. The second time it wasn’t raining at all. With the keys in the ignition, he shut the door and turned away. Locked! Thoughts on how to deactivate this ‘feature’? I support it—but when the truck’s moving! LOL

Thanks. Just did this with my 08 Avenger & it worked perfectly. I have to get another fob & if I hit the lock button before getting out it activates the alarm, which goes off when I unlock my door with the key.
