How To Disable Automatic Door Locks - Ford - F-150. Fast and Easy!

I show you how to turn off “auto lock”. The auto lock feature locks all of the doors of the vehicle automatically. This can be very annoying when exiting the truck and going to a different door that will be locked.

Big hugs for Michigan that was driving me crazy. Same problem. Go around and get something out of the passenger door and it's locked and I'm like damn I unlocked the locks but it only unlocked the front driver store.

I've been dealing with this for 5 or 6 years. I knew there was probably a fix. I finally posted it on the 11th gen Facebook group. Might have been you that commented or whoever but hopefully it works being a contractor. This is a nightmare

It would be nice if the door locks auto locked when you started driving, and auto unlocked when you put it into park. Toyota has this set up.

This is driven me crazy literally every day for 3+ years just recently I thought I’m gonna look up a video to disable this crap in here I look it up today and you just made this video a few weeks ago it’s amazing and I’m about to do it for me basically same as usual I’ll drive you drive there and get out go to open the back door going up on the passenger door etc. etc. pain in the ass

2019 STX FX4. this doesn't work, any other ideas?

The gague cluster menu does not have the autolock on/off option either...

It only has auto-unlock on/off option but if I leave the truck running and put it in park, the doors and tailgate stay locked.

I'm ready to take it to the scrapyard...

Does this procedure disable just automatic lock unlock mechanism, or everything? I mean if you press the lock button, will it work, or not (after you disable the system)? Thank you for this informative film. Our 2001 Saturn started to unlock all the doors spontaneously. Yesterday I was driving that car and unexpectedly all the doors got unlocked. So I think to disable the system, until I get time to check what is wrong and buy what I need (door actuator, solenoid, maybe smth else). Thank you again.

I can't seem to disable it on my 2022 F150. Dealer said they couldn't do it either. No automobile door should EVER lock unless the driver/passenger locks it. The demographic that agrees with me is shrinking. This shrinkage is disturbing.

Worked for my new to me 2000 F150 work truck

Turn the car on but do not crank.
Press unlock three times. Turn car off press unlock three times again. There should be a chirp. Turn car back on
Press unlock then lock. Should be a chirp again.
