8:03 ~ THNKS a Minchkin cameo! I thought you were sponsored by Goodyear. Brushes are a componet of old school electric motors, little magnets attached to cute little springs. Love paint job.

brushless generally last longer than brushed motors. brushless also dont really need maintenance, they also have higher potential RPM and better heat dissapation (I use brushless motors on my drones)

If you're riding mainly on the road those Goodyear tyres should improve the mileage.

A brushless motor replaces the brushes and commuter of an older style electric motor with electronic equivalents. These components were a major wear area due to arking and friction. Durability and efficiency are improved. Batteries, though improved remain a weak link. Probably a good choice in the right circumstances.

Looks like a fantastic commute/pub bike. Will be really interested to see how it performs.
If you want to do reviews, you should see if you can borrow viewer bikes and review them. I bet you'd get all sorts! :)

How many miles do you get out of them Goodyear tyres ? I have gone through 2 sets of tyres in 14 months 😱

Doesn't look too bad having experience some commuter e-bikes the cost way more and have similar or worse components. Still weigh as much a small moon, be interesting to see how it rides as I believe it should only work when your pedaling. :)

CST are a pretty decent tyre company, the Bart Brentjens world cup XCO team use them

Brushes are usually carbon and spring loaded to supply electricity to the inner spinning part of a motor. This is a wear point. Brushless turns the motor inside-out (sort of) and the central armature is a permanent magnet so there is no need for such a supply, and avoids this wear point. I nearly rambled then. It’s catching😎

£600.. that’s worthy of buying for a commute bike, something to just use back and forth

And cheap group sets last longer, the gears don’t complain when they wear down. And when your using it, because you only have 7/8 gears .. you tend only to use 2 or 3 so never notice how shit they are

Only thing I’d be wary of is the battery and electronics, given the resent spate of ebike fires…. I’d pay for a better known brand

Entry level gravel bike… just put gravel tyres in a cheap road bike ! £400/500

Sticking a flipping motor on a bike is now something you're expected to do. How did we come to this? Sad days.
