It's amusing to use on night time rat runs. Buckshot for face hits, and the cost of the shotty is less painful when you're not forking out 70k+ for even basic NVGs. It's also funny to use in factory w/ as many Kleches you can possibly slap on the front of it.

I have been running this shotgun at night and with a Valday 1/6 it’s actually insane loaded with AP-20. It’s a 1 tap machine if you can hit your shots

I actually used the whole ultima set up just to up my ergo for silent caliber and setup kills. Suppressed AP20s while looking through a Burris TAC30 with a delta point on top was extremely satisfying. I never used the camera though because it distracted me too lol.

Instead of RIP I recommend the Superformance. 220 dmg, best accuracy of 175% and some decent muzzle velocity paired with AP 20. I tried it as a meme but in the first raid I killed 4 PMCs by breaking their ankles off. It is a fun meme round capable of 3-shotting PMCs or maybe 2-shotting the rigged bois that have no stomach protection provided you can pace your shots and land them where you need it.

Its not meta, but it is niche. Personally I like using it during night raids covered in flashlights. Stay dark, us sound, and slow sweeping of the environment with the termal for awareness. Once a target is identified, sneak in and flood their sensative nvg with light. You arent blinded as the termal cuts through blinding light, and they dump a mag of misses.

i absolutely love this shotgun... it doesn't even cost that awful much to build if you have the traders unlocked. I run the ultima with a Bravo/Burris FF3 combo and flechette/AP-20, I always do well with it. Also another thing to note, I'm colorblind so it really is very helpful to me. I don't zoom in on the thermal I just use the Bravo/FF combo but dang it really helps where the in game colorblind settings don't really help me.

Thinking about thermals, apart from the obvious nighttime usage, what about smoke grenades? Like in that last clip where you're posturing around the windows with the PMC inside. If you popped a smoke grenade through the door you could then push in in relative safety and get them through the smoke with the thermals.

Honestly it really seems like a gun intended to give players the opportunity to create weird and wacky niche playstyles, which I think is good for the game. Giving people a reason to expand their horizons and loadouts just makes the game more interesting.

I've been running the fully kitted MP-155 with thermal for night runs on a budget. I put a HAMR - DeltaPoint combo and AP-20. With this build you can give a quick look at the screen while you use the Delta, the downside is you need to switch an extra scope to get to the HAMR. I've killed plenty of PMCs, Glukhar, Reshala and tons of scavs. It looks damn cool also. Try it out!

1. The Ultima underbarrel mount oddly does not allow any attachments, though it does give +5 ergo. You have to use the Ultima Short Rail like you are using in the video.
2. If you use Control + Right Click, you can switch your focus to the thermal display for better vision of what it sees. It is definitely a quirky 'scope' but it can be really handy for wooded/dark areas like you mentioned.

The MP-155 is actually special as a shotgun. If you outfit it with all the Ultima furniture, it'll have the best ergo of any semi-auto shotgun by a country mile. People usually build for recoil, but recoil matters less for a semi-auto weapon. Plus, if you're using AP-20 or other slugs, being able to quickly ADS for accurate fire makes the extra ergo really useful.

hey yall. make sure that if you do use magnum buckshot, that you give yourself some time for recoil recovery. i have seen people dump rounds so fast that after their first shot with saigas and semi shotties that their follow up shots hit no where close to home. that magnum buckshot adds 115 points of recoil to whatever gun your using it with so keep that in mind

This gun fucking SLAPS with AP20 with a suppressor. It is almost completely silent except for the thump of the hammer striking the primer and I've one tapped chads quite often with it.

The Ergo alone is worth building it for shotgun quests. The thermal is way too distracting as mentioned. Other shotguns with silencers are consistently zero ergo.
