Ozone is basically a molecule of 3 oxygen atoms. Ozone is formed when ultraviolet light from the sun bombards the oxygen layer in the stratosphere. There is more ozone produced during a solar maximum (period of high sunspot activity) because the sun radiates a lot more ultraviolet light during such periods. The holes in the Ozone layer above the North and South pole is produced by the polar vortex sucking the the ozone down to earth during the winter months of no sunshine at each pole. Ozone layer depredation and build up is a natural cycle and has nothing to do with CO2 emissions.
