I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

We have FXAIX as our foundational holding in our investment allocations making up 50% of the total. We have the rest in growth (VGT 24%, QQQ 24%, & 2% in individual equities). Our current strategy is to grow to retire early and as we near that, we will start to shift that growth allocation to more medium to lower risk positions. We don’t plan on ever moving out of FXAIX as our foundation.

Just started buying FXAIX, and the only down side is the changes when the markets close. But so far it’s been good to me.

Great video but for your graph at 4:45 if that was percentages it would be much closer with the price difference of each fund. At first glance I thought wow thats the first big difference I have seen between these two except Voo is $514 a share currently while FXAIX is $195 a share.

FXAIX, VOO, IVV, or SPGL are all great funds that track the S&P 500. Pick which one works for you. The differences are negligible in performance.

Good video and thanks for sharing! qq about dividends. VOO pays better dividends (twice as the FXAIX's dividends) informed in the video, but the VOO is twice the price of FXAIX in Nov 2023. If we do the math, the annual dividends are both around 1.4% so they pay similar dividends. Do I understand it correctly? Therefore, the main difference between them would be the expense ratio and convenience of trade? (not sure about the tax in this regard). Thanks again!

You can never say never to opportunity like S&P 500 ETFs, SPY which is up. I’m being instructed by an intelligent investor to buy more anytime it drops, cashing up along the way on every moves, also incorporating new stocks.

Great video! At 3:23 I think you meant to say that both funds have no minimum entry.

Do the higher dividends paid with VOO offset double the expense ratio Vanguard charges compared to Fidelity's FXAIX?

If you buy the FXAIX for less and more shares for your money does that make any difference if you buy VOO witch is more expensive?

Great info, I did not understand the difference from voo and the Fidelity s&p index fund. So I bought 100 shares, of Fidelity s&p 500 index, last week. I thought they where the same. But there not. Thanks you
