Are you really comparing a fake 00s Exp II and a real 90's Exp II and stating that the different styles of clasp and end links are indicators of the fake being fake? Like... really?

question, at the end you were pointing out the fake clasp vs. the original.. the extensive research shows the the clasp that you showed as fake, the one piece, isn't the original band, its the one you pointed at saying it was fake...
the correct style as you mentioned isn't shon anywhere on any of the rolex explorer 2 16570 models...

i was recently gifted a supposed ' rolex ' its very old and is in bad condition, ive been trying to see if its real or not & this is the closest thing ive come to find . the only difference i've noticed is it doesnt say explorer 2 . its almost identical to this watch except that one missing ' explorter ii ' text . can you help me authenticate this watch ?

That's a low end replica. If you would compare the JF explorer 2 to the gen you wouldn't have most of those issues you pointed out.

The bottom line is that if a back street shop in China can knock that out for 100$ and Rolex are trying to con you into paying 6K for the original. Buy the knock off and put an eta movement in it, get your local watch shop to pressure check it, and it will last you for 50 years, with the rest of the money in your pocket give 10$ a week to a homeless person or someone in need and I assure you... You will feel better about yourself at the end of the year, but hay what do I know....
