"(515)" is the first track on Iowa and serves as the album's intro.
The name was chosen because this is the area code area code of Des Moines, Iowa, where many of the members of Slipknot came from. Contrary to belief, Corey did not do the vocals for this track, but, in fact, Sid did; before completing Iowa, his grandfather was ill, and Sid was on his way to visit him, and unfortunately his grandfather had passed before Sid could even visit him. Sid then entered the studio, broke down and repeatedly screamed "death", thus (515) was created.

So the story is, Sid went to go visit his grandfather and by the time he got there, he realized his grandfather died earlier. He want back to the recording studio and started to let all of his sadness, pain, and rage out and recorded this.

Sid Wilson actually recorded this, Sid came into the studio when he wasn't supposed to, the reason for this was because his grandfather had passed away. So they gave Sid a mic and let him let out all his pain. Poor Sid :/

This song was made when Sid to visit his grandfather who was ill but then found out that his grandfather tragically died before he could meet him, so then Sid went to the studio room and let out all of the grief, pain, anger and sadness that was he holding back and letting build up on his way to the studio onto the mic. This is why I think this is their darkest track in terms of not only the sound but also its back story.

There can never be an album like Iowa anymore. This is Slipknot's pandora's box. All the tragedy that happened, the sadness, rage and hatred mixed altogether that expresses the kind of sound that makes this album great.

I am lost for words. This is extremely haunting and raw. I've never heard more pure anger, pain, sorrow and anxiety in a track than this. It actually sounds like the vocalist is having a mental breakdown for real?

If I'm right, This is Sid.
He had just lost his grandfather at that time, given a mic and asked to express how he felt.
