For the 2019 model year, the fourth-generation Ranger was introduced, going on sale in January 2019.[1] Returning after an eight-year hiatus (2012 production was not marketed for retail sale), the fourth-generation Ranger became the first of the model line produced as a mid-size pickup.[3] Developed from the Ranger T6 designed by Ford Australia, the Ranger underwent several design changes to its frame and bumpers. We only got either the SuperCab or SuperCrew configurations, and no manual transmission would be offered. We also would not see the SUV variant, the Everest, here in the States. Our version of the T6 Fourth Gen Ranger is produced at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan.
For the 5th Generation, once again, we are late to the game, with the North American fifth generation of the Ranger debuted on May 10, 2023 (after having gone on sale globally in November 2021) and will go on sale later in the year. The Ranger lineup will feature a Raptor version for the first time.
While I had the opportunity to review either the Lariat or the Raptor versions of this truck, and they will come later, I decided to go with the more run-of-the mill version of the truck, that may be the more popular version that’s sold. I think it gives the reviews a bit more relevance to buyers in the market.
Our 2024 Ranger XLT was produced at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan on March 13, 2024.

A massive improvement over the previous generation, especially the interior quality & styling. Just wish there was more cab & bed configurations along with a center console delete with a column shift option.
