I got to say - it's refreshing to hear someone who knows what they are talking about. You know this truck inside out. That's great!

I am getting the Ranger because I want to downsize from a full size truck. Full size trucks have just grown to monsterous proportions. They are too big any more. I am tired of having to use a ladder just to wash the hood and windshield. The Ranger is more maneuverable and has a nice ride IMO, yet still has good towing capacity and payload for what I will use it for. So it is the best of both worlds for me.

No vents in the back is a huge miss imo every new vehicle should have them standard nowadays at these prices but overall love this new ranger and seriously considering one

I bought one 3 days ago, has already blew a coolant hose at 36 miles. Got it back again and checked my coolant at 81 miles because temp was going up, completely empty again. It is going back to the dealership tomorrow and I’m getting out of the deal as the engine has overheated twice before 100 miles

Those in the know (Ranger fans) consider this model the 6G and the 2019-2023 the 5G for the US.
I have a '21 and love it but may trade for the new models.
I may have missed it, but is this the standard XLT or XLT High package?
Another note, the 2.7V6 is only available in 4x4, as of now anyway.

Do you think in the future they'll offer heads up display and heated and ventilated seats? These are two options that I've gotten use to and love them on my current vehicle.

I loved my F-150 Super Crew but I needed something smaller when I took a job in a downtown area. Yes, I know a F-150 can be had at the same price but for some size is benefit.

Make a cheap single cab Ranger work truck. They make it in the UK

I never thought I would buy anything other than Toyota when it came to midsize, but damn… ford really knocked this out of the park. I’ll be purchasing an xlt soon, and what’s even sadder is I can get a fully loaded xlt for the same price as a BASE SR5! Toyota has really priced their own customers out.

Love the Ranger, but the new Tacoma looks way better. That cheesy front grill on the Ford kind of kills the vibe. Still like the Ranger though, just not my first pick.

Crazy expensive. Get rid of all the frills give me power windows and air conditioning, four-cylinder, fuel injection only! They should be able to make an engine that will do 200, 000 miles without a hiccup! Too much technical crap I would never buy one

I was eye balling this truck... but I'm not sure. Some of the features such as blind-spot monitoring... cameras... this kind of stuff should be standard on ALL American cars/trucks. This kind of tech is OLD. For me, I'm sticking w/ my foreign brands for another 10 to 15 yrs. at least.

Just add the 7 speed manual from the Bronco and it will be a great truck.

You can get 315 HP in the Nissan Frontier with no turbo and we know turbos can have problems… but Ford did well looks good

Have they fixed the transmission problems?

Fuel injection turbos will be the downfall of all these small trucks

Thank you for sharing! I’m thinking about an XLT Technology RWD myself, so thank you for the comparison. I’m curious to see an Active Park Assist demo on it.

I'm leaning towards F-150 over this Ranger, but it's a very close call.

Where are you going to get a new F150 for less than 45-50k? Decently equipped they are going for 60-70k+!!!

@HawkeyRides great video! I'm in the market for my first truck. I'm coming from a 2017 Honda Accord and in the Honda they have the ability to tap the "sync" button for climate control which will make both dual climate controls the same temps. In the Ford Ranger, is there such an option. For example, it's set at 70 degrees but now I want to drop the temp to 68 degrees. Do I need to adjust both controls to drop it down to 68? I'm really hoping there is a way to do it together as adjusting two temperature controls will get old fast. Also, I'm pretty disappointed with not having rear vents. I feel like my kids will hate it back there. Do you think it matters much? In your crystal ball, do you foresee Ford including that in a future year, such as 2025, 2026, etc since overseas have it?
