Nah, I would never scam someone who sold me something fair & square. That's fatherless behavior.

I sold a camera on eBay and the dude scammed me so what I did was I went on my dad‘s account and the scammer was a moron and relisted it and I purchased it from him and the exact same thing you said called eBay up and told them that I never received the right item and that’s how I got my camera back and my money. Not everyone is going to be as lucky as I was unless you’re a scammer is an idiot lol

I don't know that I'd do this to someone who now has your address

That is a fact and the buyers know it. Today was my last day selling on eBay. These buyers want the product and refunds both. So done with it.

If someone did this to me I would sell their information!

He’s not lying. I sold a football card worth $500 and the guy told eBay the envelope was empty even though I had recordings of me sealing the package and placing the card in the package and handing directly to ups

Doesn't work like that, they check the weight of the package. Also if you're a buyer doing that, you got one chance to do that and get away. If they see a pattern of you reporting numerous phones missing from different sellers, you're going to hit a road bump and get banned.

I think the study they did during the early days of ebay showed it was only about 1 in 8, 000 transactions actually has someone trying to scam. But it probably depends on what you are selling, and for how much.

I sell used clothing, and have done over 10, 000 sales. I have only had the occasional unreasonable buyer, and I have had a couple shirts not arrive to the customer. But that is mostly overseas shipments. But that is fairly uncommon.

But the occasional unreasonable buyer is the major issue when selling cheaper stuff under 40 dollars for the most part. For example, there are occasionally those that do things like buy a shirt, and leave a negative review saying it didn’t fit. And this would be for a shirt where the measurements were listed in the listing along with the correct size. And the measurements are in line with the other shirts of the same brand and cut as others in my inventory.

But I would not consider these people scammers, but more along the lines of being a difficult customer you would expect in any business.

And you can still mitigate that by putting in your description additional notes pertaining to how the cut of shirts are suppose to fit. Like a Ralph Lauren BLAKE button down fits bigger than a classic fit. But I have found that it’s uncommon enough of an issue that it doesn’t hurt my business to sell as it with the measurements.

eBay stole my money two times. No big change in eBay. Bad People control everything. I don’t know what’s going on. I love eBay, but there’s something wrong.

I sold just under $4k on there last year, by no means a high volume seller, but I didn’t have a single charge back- I pictured the package at usps pre shipping (pictured it packed with packing materials first, at home) then kept all of the receipts of the shipping and tracking info. Just document everything and assume to get scammed, so do everything you can to prove each item was officially sent.

This is exactly why I no longer sell on ebay

He’s 100% correct instead of my item, seller sent an envelope. And no the weight doesn’t matter. I reported the item to eBay, and showed them the evidence, and they did nothing. The sellers make eBay’s profits, not the buyer.

It’s always worth paying extra for tracking included with the postage as so many complain that they didn’t receive

This is crazy. I've been going down a rabbit hole on these kind of vids. I'm strictly a buyer. Let's face it, eBay has a lot of stuff I like that I can't find elsewhere at times. I had no idea this was so prevalent. I'm usually picky about who I purchase from. First thing I'm doing is checking negative feedback. However I always take it with a grain of salt, as I've seen plenty of negatives left where the buyer obviously didn't read the description. But if you're sitting at 98% and up, if you have what I want, I'm buying. If you ever see chsals and I send payment, please know I want what you have listed. Sellers, thank you for what you do. Believe it or not there are those of us out there that appreciate it.

You say don't do this, yet you make a video telling people HOW to do the the thing they shouldn't do.
