To all the smart gamers who love gaming like I do, let me tell you something and think really carefully about what I have to say. I’ve bought the original PS5 disk version with 1 extra controllers and 1 game for 650€ at launch. Two months ago I had to buy a used PS5 for 250€ because my original PS5 broke and it didn’t make sense to repair it because the costs were in the line of a new console. It kinda reminds me when my PS3 also broke after +3 years. It’s a weird coincidence since that console was also very expensive back in the days. Now for the past 4 years I had to spend another 400€ on ps plus subscriptions just to be able to play online multiplayer. And now I would have to spend another 800€ for the “PRO” with slightly better background graphics, no disk drive and ffs not even a stand included?!! Not to mention the game library for this gen is just not existing with only remakes and remasters of old games. I would have to spend atleast another 120€ for the disk drive so that I can play my physical copies of my games. Now if I add up how much money I’ve spend in only 4 years we get a whopping 2220€ in total! That is converted to US dollars a whopping 2459$!!! Do you know what kind of PC I can build for that money my fellow gamers? A PC that will outperform the future PS6. So do you think that KuSony made a win with this ridiculous and straight up customer hostile strategy or did they just convinced loyal customers to finally make the switch to PC?

Come on, man. Not everyone cares so much about graphical improvements. That's literally all the PS5 Pro is touting. The price point is ridiculous. The only real thing I care about is being able to play a game in 60fps, thus I run performance mode whenever available on PS5. There's no way I'm dropping £700 just for some graphical improvements. On top of that, the disc drive is probably going to be £100. I wouldn't buy the PS5 Slim because of that, either.
